Longtime players have probably noticed the selection mechanism for Ability dice moving away from check boxes to more of a 'color in your choice' method. This has been refined further by allowing players to outline and color in their selections.
Fishing ability, standard to all characters, is now more appropriately separated from the main three basic abilities.
Ambitious Goblin (A002) is still the same pitiable battle-hungry goblin, only now more accurately identified as "Overly Ambitious Goblin Trainee" with further explanation given in the description.
Misguided Munchkin (A007) has been replaced by "Mythical Waddling Warbler"
That is all we can say lest it come after us for revealing its secret identity.
We now have somewhat more insight as to why Scribbles (A008) are... well, the way they are (when you encounter them).
Group of Goblins (A012) - It is difficult to discern what so often drives Goblins to do whatever it is they do for, in the first instance, even they don't know and second, by the time they do know is usually about the same time they are busy regretting the decision. Same is true for this lot only we have some insight on account of nobody knows what.
Wily Grognard (A014) has been replaced by a "Marauding Gullpiper" - because that is the nature of Marauding Gullpipers... or didn't you know?
Our dear old motherly Pterodactyl (A022) has moved on, only to have its patch of territory taken over by none other than a "Delinquent Pterodactyl." Figures.
Hungry Tyrannosaurus (A028) finally got its meal (lucky it but unlucky whichever one of you out there WAS the meal) and so it moved into a retirement home ...to see about an after dinner snack and maybe a game of bocce ball. Meanwhile, there is talk of something much more sinister than a common old Tyrannosaurus. Can you just imagine it?
Dork the Daring (P004) is now presented with his 'proper' name (because his mother told us to).
Poor Benny (P005) distraught after Perfidious Lurch ate his bowling ball, moved back to the 1950s to pen a musical about summer love, peer pressure and teen angst. Meanwhile, although we didn't want to, a "Pompous Hoodwink" came in and stole his spot. Even we can't explain it except to say... it's in the name!
No one knows exactly what happened to Boastful Sailor (P007) as, apparently, he never made it back to his ship. A few of the locals swear they saw him wander off into the Forest of Rhinn looking to catch a Fairy. Others think he was probably eaten by the Sewer Monster. But we think probably it was related to the other night in the tavern when he tried having a laugh at Fessiwig's expense. Mm'hm.
Purple Tentacle (P009) is now "Wishy-Washy Tentacle" because it's less purple and more wishy-washy.
Hobnobbin the Hobgoblin (P016) has not changed. But there are some new rumors circulating about him.
Borin the Miner (P018) is still the same affable, storytelling Dwarf. Have you heard his latest one? It's a doozy.
Don Flamengo's (P020) manager had a little talk with the Guild announcer and now, whenever he is introduced before a match, the crowd responds with more "ooos" and "ahhhs" and elevated excitement, which is good for business.
Confident Sailor (P022) has gone a bit heavy on the Orcish ale. We'll leave it there.
Bizarre Looking Bird Creature (P031) not to be outdone by Don Flamengo, has hired a personal branding consultant and come up with a whole new identity sure to wow even the most stalwart fans of his arch-nemesis, which is any fighter who enters the fighting pit with better theme music.
