The Companions of Feonora

What this update is trying to say is that, on the whole, our good and trustworthy (and sometimes questionable) Companions have been brought up to the new standard of 'narrative design' for card elements.  It is safe to say that every card in the deck has received a small touch or flourish, along with several more definite changes described below.

Ninja (003) is now a +4 Fighter to better reflect the difficulty and cost of hiring him or her.  It may also have something to do with a new move that we cannot disclose as even we don't know what it's called but hear it's pretty neat should anyone get the chance to see it in action.  Hiya! Ffft Ffft! Ung.... Sho!

Brenan the Paladin (008) has been replaced with a Paladin fighter of equal worth but altogether different background and destiny. Don't be too surprised if you have difficulty joining company with this one.

We were informed, via courier that Finneaus the Monk (C012) was supposed to be spelled "Phinneaus" and so we have apologized, via letter and made the correction.  A freshly baked treat was delivered the next day.

Winfred the Hunter (C015) is preparing to depart on another safari into the jungles of a mythical place called "Africa" and that works out well since another curious character (who is not a fighter) has stepped in to take his place.

Indigo the Swashbuckler (C019) has gotten the better of his drinking problem, the poor soul, and at last been upgraded to his true skill level as a +3 Fighter companion.

Edric the Mighty (C023) is soon to be whisked away by a dubious form of magic or trickery to we don't know where (but hope he will manage to find a way out of it at any rate).  The source of this as yet unscheduled piffle may well be attributed to a certain someone who is lingering about the...

Confident Sailor (C024) has returned to his ship with, it should be said, a most wretched hangover and a renewed sense of purpose to caution others on the pitfalls of over-consumption... once he has finished with his deck scrubbing duties.

Leeroy the Blunderer's (C025) health has been adjusted slightly to reflect his Malornian nature.  Unfortunately, it remains the case that your chances of ending up on the wrong side of a fall down, trap-triggered, guards alerted, don't touch that statue! kerfuffle (of epic proportions) are greater when Leeroy is around.

Ken the Geek (C028) was renamed to "Wallsie the Geek" because... wait.
Hey! Who did that?

Deirdre the Magic User (C029) was summoned back to her House and home for, as she stated it, "Family reasons."  Which as we all know is an Elf's and pretty much any other woman's way of saying, "Don't question it."  Fortunately, we heard that one of the part-time professors at the University (and one of the most popular) had been seen just recently in the tavern, alone, writing in a journal.

Roger the Artful Dodger (C035) has gone to the City. Okay actually he was taken to the City.  Well alright, technically he was escorted against his will to the City after landing in Jail.  But that was just the start.  There he was when a Noble spotted him and became smitten by his romantic prose, which he thought would merely get him out of jail, which it did... only it got him so very much more than he bargained for.  Will we ever hear from poor Roger again?

Prigo the Bard (C037) was paid a handsome sum to accompany the cavalcade for Roger's upcoming ceremony to his betrothed.  We hear there's another fine storyteller who often can be found at Wayfarer's Rest on Performance Nights, and who also happens to be a fine negotiator.

Tom Thom (C043) is back at University studying for Finals but his cousin is hereabouts.  They are so similar it's uncanny.  Maybe it's because she is his first fifth cousin on his younger uncle's side, three times removed.  She's a bit better with her book studies though, which explains how it is she has already finished up with Finals for the Semester and ready to join up with some excitement and adventure.

Jergen (C046) the treasure hunting Dwarf has gone missing.  No one knows.  It's a mystery and folks are beginning to worry.  He's never been away this long and even his contacts at the Museum say they haven't heard a word from him.  Don't be surprised if you happen across one of his family members gearing up for a search.
